Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has issued a voluntary recall for select units of its premium motorcycles — the CBR650R and the CB1000 Hornet SP — to address potential technical issues and ensure rider safety.

What’s the Issue?
- CBR650R: Certain motorcycles manufactured between December 16, 2024 and May 4, 2025 may have a wiring issue in the turn-signal system. In some cases, the wiring could rub against a metal component, leading to wear and possible short-circuiting, which may cause lights to malfunction.
- CB1000 Hornet SP: Select units produced between September 30, 2024 and August 22, 2025 are being recalled due to concerns around oil consumption and engine performance. Excessive oil usage, if not monitored, could disrupt normal operation.
Customer Support & Free Repairs
Honda has confirmed that inspections and necessary part replacements will be provided free of cost, even for bikes out of warranty. Owners affected by the recall can visit their nearest Honda BigWing or BigWing Topline dealership for a thorough check and repair.
In addition, HMSI is proactively contacting owners via calls, emails, and SMS to schedule inspections. Owners unsure if their bike is impacted can also check eligibility by entering their Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) on Honda’s official website.
